Job Description:
This is a part-time position for Farm Hand. We look forward to providing opportunities for and developing employees who will grow with us. We ask for a 1 year commitment.
Working Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8am to 11am.
Compensation is hourly at $15 per hour to start.
Responsibilities include all field tasks; cultivating, watering, weeding, planting, turning over beds and general farm tasks.
Farm Hand must be able to tolerate working in inclement weather and be able to lift at least 50-lbs at a time. This is a rain-or-shine position. Weed whacking will also be required- tools and training provided.
The Farm Hand will be trained on morning chores which includes feeding the host of livestock on the property including pigs, chickens, and rabbits. Also assist in holistic animal rotation of cattle, pigs, and chickens including setting up and taking down mobile fencing.
All training will be provided but internal motivation is a key factor in the success of the position. A background check will be required.
